I will also state these additional rules will be in effect.
1. NO PROFANITY OF ANY SORT ALLOWED
We may have little kids lurking the threads and the last thing we want is a parent to see a thread full of a profane words. Even if the game is Rated MA, we will keep the section profane free.
2. NO SELF PROMOTION VIA REDIRECT ALLOWED
This goes to game developers and game bloggers mostly.
If you want to post on Anandtech, go ahead, however you will NOT redirect from Anandtech to your personal blog or webpage in any form of advertisement without explicate approval from Moderating Staff.
3. NO GAME SALE ALLOWED
This is not For Sale / Trade. You are allowed to give out FREE copies of something, however no trading of games or virtual items will be tolerated.
4. NO MULTIPLAYER HACKS DISCUSSION ALLOWED
For single player games, go ahead and talk about glitches, console codes, and cheat engine scripts, however this will NOT be tolerated for multiplayer games. We all know how it feels to play against a cheater, so lets not be a source of new ones spawning.
5. NO MARKETING SURVEY / RESEARCH SURVEY ALLOWED UNLESS APPROVED BY MODERATING STAFF
We don't care if your sponsored by the FBI, CIA or MI6. If you want to do a survey get approval from staff.
We do not reject all requests, we have approved some that we feel may have some value.
Do not just start a survey on this forum. You will get labeled as a SPAMMER, and be taken out with the rest of the trash.
