So, the email cited was from 8/19/2015. Apparently, the server was turned over to the FBI on or before 8/13/2015-

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/hill...l-server-justice-department/story?id=33069662

So there's your conspiracy theory, shot right in the ass.

The Reddit thread was from 2 years ago, before the turn over and after the Congressional subpoena. He had an "ohh shit" moment, after a conference call, and tried to remove email addresses and references to Hill. Why? Because they would have been responsive to a subpoena and searchable during e-discovery.

Since he couldn't remove the info, he removed the entire server, with Bleachbit.

He literally says in the post that he doesn't want the email address to be publicized and it's the only thing mentioned. It's odd that these people are literate enough to read winger blogs but the actual source is always too challenging.

The more popular version of this story has him asking how to delete emails, presumably because the audience of those blogs are too goddamn stupid to understand how emails work.

How much actual proof do you zombies need?

I swear if Hillary herself held a live TV press conference and openly confessed to every crime she was accused of liberals would find a way to act like smart asses and explain it away.

We need actual proof, imbecile.

We'll all wait right here while you continue failing to get it and instead blame libruuls for not agreeing with your delusions.

Thanks in advance, champ.

Kind of like how Republicans explain away how Trump confesses daily to the American people that he's unfit for the Presidency?
Even if the RWNJ conspiracy theories were true, Trump is still a train wreck.

The post proves that he wanted to remove a private email address from emails that were to be publicized. You know those emails that are generally signed/etc by the sender in the other fields and body/sig, etc. Evidently reality didn't prove enough so those blogs for dumbasses had to exaggerate it into some kind of evil master plan like from the cartoons.

How about real proof? I know you trump fluffers aren't much on thinking, but come on.

I always love when the idiots on the left hysterically deny reality. This weekend absolutely murdered their "Islam is a religion of peace" garbage, and this latest devastating update on Hilary's rank incompetence vis-a-vis confidential information is sure to send them into apoplectic fits :)

If you want to see a deranged delusional idiot in apoplectic fits, just look in the mirror, champ.

Conservatives are delusional, and cowardly.

Still no actual evidence, just bitching and crying about being victims. And of course, cowardice.

Go hide in a hidey hole because the Mooselmans are a'comin' to get you, coward.

Probably because no one reads "the conservative treehouse."

I saw this in r/all this morning, presumably because I had to reset my reddit client which wiped out the filtered subs, meaning the reddit sherlocks only just cracked the case.

Look at these folks just to be chomping at the bit to be ignorant about email or whatever else they don't want to know anything useful about.

Literally asking for tech support on the internet for something government / high profile related. You can't make this stuff up.

Definitely going to need a bigger cloth.

Why would they be publicized? If they were under Congressional subpoena it's not like they would have been out in the open. Even if they were, they were subject to FOIA, meaning they would be "public" anyway. Your explanation makes no sense.

No, the far more likely explanation is that he wanted to strip the email address off the emails for discovery. Now, why would he do that? Let's say the emails said "hrc@clintonemail.com" or whatever. When answering for a subpoena, you would take all user emails from that address and search them for common terms, like Benghazi, or Iraq, or whatever.

Now let's say that that email address didn't exist? Could it then be searched? Ohh, no. You could just rename it Huma, or Betty Rubble, or Wilma Fintstone, and it'd be gone. Poof. No more Clinton emails.

House has picked this up. It's going to blow wide open.

Ohh, and apparently, this isn't covered by the immunity. Whoops!

So they wanted to protect the privacy of people's email addresses who exchanged emails with Hillary?

Or should they set those folks up as targets for hackers in a FOIA release?

That's way too simple for the Mayberry Machiavellis...

Publicized without the private email addresses, but I can see how that's too hard to make sense of compared to the rube goldberg masterplan of the week.

So he was figuring to do something illegal, in a rather meticulously planned & elaborate coverup operation, but asks how to perform the key step in public under his own username in a forum were creating another account is trivial. If only it weren't for those meddling kids who cracked the case.

You just contradicted yourself & don't even realize it. They knew they had to comply with FOIA requests long before congress issued any subpoenas. Therefore they knew the material was intended for publication.

Which is why it is against Federal Law to scrub.

That the email address becomes public is not his concern, nor was it hers. That the emails not become public, at all, was the primary concern. The way you do that is to remove them from the chess board, completely.
