I went to the doctors because my Tylenol PM quit working--I've been taking it for the better part of a year and a half for my insomnia. After not sleeping for two days I made an appointment and they prescribed Ambien, as well as a regimen of no caffiene or carbonated beverages. So I quit those in a day; on Janurary 1st, I quit smoking. I'm running out of stuff to do!

It was the most miserable 20 minutes I've ever experienced in my life!

We took our kids to the Franklin Institute today. I could have used a stiff drink of something after the 50th "I'm hungry...."

Had a great time and saw lots of neat things. The Tutankhamun exhibit was very interesting.

My AC in my room got replaced last week around 1400 while I was asleep (night shift) and it was like 115+ outside. Rough sleep!

I remember once when I was on the USS Inchon (now a artificial reef) we lost power for several (12-ish) hours during the night while the engineers were doing a repair. It heated up quick in the ship, so nearly all of the crew went out to sleep in the hangar bay or flight deck. 🙂 That was an interesting night.

I just felt like sharing something kinda funny... Today was my first day of school in college (I'm 27 tomorrow, and I'm sure the only person in there older than me was the professor), and I had at least 6 people offer to hold my hand on the way to my first day of school. My wife and co-workers having another joke at my expense. 😀 Damned if I wasn't nervous like crazy though before class started when I was waiting outside the hall. All went well though. 🙂

Just 3 classes right now as I'm still working full time and I want to take it very easy the first semester til I get used to how college is. I'm taking College Writing (ENG 1310), College Algebra (MATH 1315), and a dumb required course for the university (University Seminar). I couldn't take any computer science classes this semester because they all start in the morning, and my work shift is 0600 - 1400. 🙁
