such a hateful attack on the lone survivor of the Bowling Green Massacre...and the Four Seasons Landscaping Disaster.

What a fucking snowflake...pressing charges over an obvious pat on the back...just because the guy called him a scumbag.

Fox News will report this as Rudy beaten within an inch of his life. The people who testified at the Jan 6 hearings suffered far more then Rudy ever will

I mean, technically it's probably some level of battery (depending on NYS law), but in reality it's ... :tearsofjoy:

Yeah, I don't know NY law, but it's probably some level of battery... But 2nd degree assault? Hopefully the DA's office declines to prosecute.

The defense showing that video is gonna be hilarious if it gets that far. Question is, will they be the first to enter it?

Couple of thoughts....

Touching someone is assault.
The elderly are weak and easily swept off their feet. In addition, any sort of fall (can) be life threatening / altering through permanent injury and further disability. Each time they fall, they are likely to lose a little more health and mobility. You joke, but it is no joke.

Having said that, I am not sure what to make of it. We can obviously see the outcome and no harm done.

Julie-Annie could certainly USE some slapping around however any kind of unwanted touching is legally assault.

IMO what the guy did was touch Giuliani on the back to get his attention for the verbal comment he made shortly thereafter but technically it is an assault in most US jurisdictions. If the prosecutor doesn't drop the charges then the alleged should refuse any deal and force the matter to go to trial which would require the "victim's" live testimony. Unless Guiliani is trying to milk this into a civil suit payback he won't bother showing up.

BTW what is Giuliani doing in a ShopRite? That's where real people shop, not the elite. I'm offended he patronizes a chain I like.

I'm going to be honest here, it is actually possible for that man to be found guilty of assault. Although, it won't be physical assault that would work, but instead if Giulliani claims that it was a gay sexual assault.... we have a possibilty of a guilty verdict. Then again however, would Rudy be willing to declare himself a victim of gay sexual assault for the rest of his life?

Trump has been slapping Rudy around for years and he's never complained about that.

What the video doesn't show is that the guy's hand was wet with holy water and he was holding a crucifix. Rudy's not lying about the pain.

This wouldn't even have happened if Rudy were behind bars, like he should be.

Funny that ... Not a peep out of Giuliani when an elderly man was pushed to the ground incurring a cracked skull causing permanent injury and further disability at a BLM protest in Buffalo.

Had the same guy "slapped" Rudy on the back and said "Hey Rudy, nice to see you!", He would have shaken his hand and taken a selfie with him, and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Reduced to misdemeanor. Giuliani calls video deceptive.

The sooner this guy dies would mean one less totally evil human off the planet.

If I was the guy I wouldn't plead guilty to the misdemeanor. No reason to have a criminal record for this-make it clear you intend to fight it to the max (including jury trial if available) at each and every stage of the proceedings. It would be nice if the Dems would fund his defense like so many GOP culprits enjoy.
