In unshocking news, Trump has cut off Giuliani for the sin of wanting to be paid for his election “services.”

Another one under the bus. Bumpity Bump. Anyone else want to work for Trump? Anyone? Bueller? ... Bueller?

I thought Giuliani said he was doing all that for free bc he’s a true Patriot or some shit? ... I guess he still expected to be paid tax-free under the table.

What makes this so much better is they set up a Rudy Giuliani Legal Defense fund hoping to raise $5 million. So far in over 2 weeks. Not even 10 Grand. Half of that came from just 3 donors.

Pretty repugnant when a quite wealthy lawyer is getting donations from people who likely have a lot less money than him.

read this over the weekend, to expect trump to behave in any other manner is to expect a tiger to change it's stripes.

I also seem to remember Giuliani saying that he had “insurance” during one of those times when Trump was shitting all over the help and it looked like Rudy was going to be next. He got loud for a minute about how Trump wouldn’t dare fuck with him, but when pressed for details refused to clarify. But I remember the word “insurance” coming up. Not actual insurance, mind you. More like a “never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line” kind of thing. Well Rudy, let’s see what you’ve got!

Rudy: - “I have video of Trump entering the bedroom of a hotel suite with a young female reporter and he was sticking his hands down his pants to make sure his dick was still working! Oh, wait…that was me. Nevermind.”

Yeah but then didn't Turmp stiffed Ghouliani on a bill and that tickled Rudy back to his favor? I feel like Rudy is the albino guy from the one Dan Brown (?) book, only he's flagellating himself with Turmp's ballsack.

I don't know ... So much bullshit and grifting/criminal activity to remember. I remember the news that Giuliani was actually getting paid some big bucks by bigwigs in Ukraine.

I found this....

This explains why Giuliani was working for Trump for free. In fact, he wasn’t really working for Trump at all. He was working for Ukraine, getting paid by them via Lev Parnas or some such grifter. They expected Giuliani to deliver influence with Trump. Ukraine was his paying client. Influence with Trump was the product he was selling.

Lol .. Poor Rudy. Donations aren't going so well...

My face hurts from smiling in reaction to this:..

Former President Donald Trump is expected to announce a class-action lawsuit Wednesday against three of the country’s biggest tech companies: Facebook, Twitter and Google.

Trump will serve as the lead plaintiff in the suit, claiming he has been wrongfully censored by the companies, according to a person familiar with the action. The person spoke on condition of anonymity to share details ahead of the announcement.

Yeah, good luck with that, Donald. Hope you have a good lawyer for the countersuit.

Too bad Rudy’s not free anymore, in either sense. Hey, your lawyer is always free when you just refuse to pay him.

This is probably just another grift to get into the news and wheedle more donations from the rubes. Hope his lawyers are smart enough to get paid in advance.

The only lawyers that will take this are those looking for name recognition only.

No smart lawyer is going to take it.

The golden rule for Trump cronies: you either reach a breaking point and abandon him, or fall apart trying to defend the indefensible... and Giuilani has clearly held on past that breaking point.
There is a rather simple reason for this unknown because it is wrapped in an enigma involving the fact that the opposites of heads and tails are attached to the same coin, easily seen when described with coins, but very much hidden when it comes to seeing such phenomena in the self. That, the self we imagine ourselves to be, is what I refer to as the ego, and is a defense mechanism, an artificial self, a psychic capitulation, an imaginary image we carry of ourselves based on violently inculcated moral codes of behavior designed to produce conformity.

The promise was that by adherence to those very imaginary standards we were taught to believe would grant us safety as social beings and make us worthy of praise and love. Any deviation from them would lead to punishment, banishment, and damnation. But the promise was never to be fully trusted because there were always some new, unknown, and surprising rule we didn't know about we would break, or that because our guardians knew nothing of real love could never apply consistently. One side result was that punishment could often become the only attention we could guarantee we would ever receive.

And all these phony standards of correct behavior were the same ones our guardians were taught, with the same violent inculcation and which their guardians in turn hoped to save them.

This is why, in sick cultures we see constellations of similar sick behaviors.

So the price of our accepted entry into society, the joining of the tribe, the cult, the nation and all the various isms we feel so proud to be an exponent of, are all of the constellations of the ego that define the nature of out sickness, and all that we must die to belief in to regain real freedom.

And since we can't do that consciously because we believe all those things to be the foundation of what makes us valuable as people, we do it unconsciously and it is that that is the other side of the coin.

We live with an unconscious death wish that hopes to destroy the ego in order to regain our true selves.

And exactly that is the real aim of religion, the great enlightened experiences of those who have died to themselves and awaken to a knowledge of God, Oneness, and perfection, the goal of our true heart's desire.

It is this unconscious yearning for the death of the ego that causes those with the sickest forms of it to destroy themselves. Having no capacity for humility they conspire unconsciously to seek calumny instead. The act out in ways that bring their downfall and destruction because like the mighty oak that cracks in a storm because it refuses to bend in the wind like the willow.

There is nothing like fame, fortune, and glory to make those who actually feel worthless to backhandedly seek self destruct. It is our self hate that causes us to tempt fate via constant test, to seek endless signs of approval and destroy them when they appear.

"Just my luck and why does this always happen to me." Can you see that it is the idea we are evil that has kicked us out of the Garden of Eden? To eat of the Tree of Knowledge is to buy into the notion of original sin. The sin we can't escape is the arising of the capacity to think in language and to apply the illusions so created into emotional reactions about behavior. It wasn't our behavior that was bad but the self from which those behaviors sprang, our need for love and security. To be safe we were taught never to love again.

Not the govt of Ukraine but rather corrupt Ukrainian/Russian interests. Trump & Rudy tried to bend the Ukrainian govt over the log.

Only a fool would hire him as a lawyer in the first place. Now who was his last client?
Trump was scraping the bottom of the barrel. He was the best, the very best he could find... AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL.

@Moonbeam: I have heard that it's possible to have a healthy ego. Check it, it's not possible to function as a human being without an ego. The thing is to have a healthy one.

And now...

Rudy Giuliani’s law license has been suspended in Washington, DC, after he temporarily lost his license in New York for pushing election lies and that state court system looks further into his case.

The appeals court in DC said Giuliani would be suspended from working as an attorney in the city “pending outcome” of his situation in New York, according to disciplinary court records.

Giuliani doesn’t regularly practice law in court – and hadn’t for several years before representing then-President Donald Trump in 2020 in a failed legal bid to throw out the popular vote in Pennsylvania and other states. But the law license suspension is still a major blow to the former Manhattan US attorney and political figure, once considered an accomplished and formidable force in legal circles.

CNN has reached out to Giuliani for comment.

When the New York appellate court temporarily suspended his law license in that state, it said in its ruling that it concluded that “there is uncontroverted evidence” that Giuliani “communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump’s failed effort at reelection in 2020.”

Giuliani’s “conduct immediately threatens the public interest and warrants interim suspension from the practice of law,” the court wrote.

But the former New York City mayor argued following that ruling that his comments were not a threat to the public, telling Newsmax at the time: “I made all those statements – not a single one of them led to a protest, a riot, an incident, an anything,”

“Obviously, those statements do not have the impact of creating danger,” he said.

The New York appellate court wrote that Giuliani’s “false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent’s narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client.”

The court said it relied on the former mayor’s statements at news conferences, state legislative hearings and on TV appearances, radio broadcasts and podcasts, as well as in one court appearance.

Though Giuliani told the court that he would “exercise personal discipline” and refrain from making further statements about the election in his capacity as a lawyer, according to the ruling, the court found that he had continued to make false statements since the submission of the application for suspension of his license.

Rudy's a cautionary tale. Confirms my decision to NOT go to law school (I had good enough LSAT score to go although I did exactly zero prep). At the time I had a sense that lawyers were like ships without a rudder. I know now that there are conscientious lawyers, even wise ones. Still, going to LS then, I don't know what might have become of me.

There are plenty of conscientious lawyers, like my fiancée... and she also had the good sense to focus on commercial law, where she can stick to ethically sound cases.

You mention Rumi in your sig. I recall reading somewhere about him, Sufism and the notion of fanaa and baqaa and found something of a search engine I hope might help explain what I mean by losing all of my hopes and dreams, having had taken all that can be taken so as to reveal what was hidden, that which remains because it can never be lost, not the illusion of self, the ego, but the original or true self.

Anyway, I found a link of interest that I think relates:
