I hate that part of the review. At the bottom of the left screen you can see a speed readout at the bottom that doesn't change with the screen. So you do know how fast you are going.
 
I think it's a shame the car isn't available with a conventional manual, but hearing it run through the gears is awe-inspiring and I can see why Ferrari didn't want to water down its high-tech DNA with a transmission that would make it meaningfully slower.

Yeah, I noticed that too. He's just trying to be dramatic. It doesn't display the fake digital gauge, it's just a digital readout of your speed, but still not that big of a problem.
