I am going to grill chicken tomorrow and have assembeled a rub from various spices and salts. My question is, how long in advance of the grilling should I apply the rub onto the chicken? RIght before, the night before, a couple hours before?

if you want constructive advice.... I suggest letting the salty ingredients marinate ALOT longer than the others.

Salt = the pwn of wtfBBQ'z if you don't let them marinate.

Keyword of BBQ ----> distribute (flavor).

Don't let these wannabe man-chumps (short for women grillers) tell you any different.

The more time you let a meat absorb flavor (hick speak for "marinate")... the better your meat will taste. But don't let the meat go bad from waiting too long (which is about a 2 days or so)
