As tempting as it will be to buy this generation's cards, the next gen is supposed to be an incredible leap in performance... like most of the cards will be at 3090/6900XT levels of rasterization performance. If you can wait until December, wait.

That said, if you need a card, wait a little bit longer. Between the drops in MSRP (ASUS and others have stated they are dropping their MSRP prices and there will be much larger availability) and miners fire selling their used GPUs to try and recover some of their investment, the prices should fall a lot more.
