RTCW Video Problem

My Friend got RTCW and has a new HP computer, its like a p3 or p4, and plenty of ram for the game(256), but one of those onboard video cards. When we played RTCW the first time, it worked fine, then in the second game the screen got f'd up. NOt only was it dark, but distorted. We uninstalled and reinstalled, with the same results. It worked the first time and then got f'd up teh second time. I thought it was the map's complexity so the second time i tried the map it got f'd up with the first time. It worked, and then went back to the one that worked the first time, and it got f'd up. We tried the different qualities, fast, fastest, norm and high, and it didn't work. I read the readme file and it made mention of the onboard video cards having problems, but i tried that out to no avail. Anyone sucessfully using a Intel 82810 card. Thanks!
