Searched for this, and unless I missed it somebody is sleeping on the job and not reporting this stuff...

RTCW: enemy territory multiplayer game was released today. It is a free stand-alone game.

I am downloading it now, so I have no review for you.

wow. I love them. but why are they releasing it for free? This game (based on my experience with mp demo) is easily my fav FPS.

I installeed and played this for a short time last night. Personally I did not like the gameplay very much and quit after playing for a short while. I might try it again but I just don't think it plays as good as the multiplayer in RTCW or MOHAA.

What's different (worse) about it than RTCW specifically? And is it a different engine than RTCW?

It just feels different to me, the weapons don't seem to fire the same way. This is truly subjective.

I played this yesterday (when the ORIGINAL thread was posted)

Found the netcode to royally eat ass. Lagginess, packetloss, dropping players all over. Probably PunkBuster's fault.
