RTCW and Win2k..

A search revealed nothing so I hope this isn't a repost ...
... with that, is anyone here running RTCW in Windows 2000 successfully? It freezes/hangs/reboots my system after a few mins of playtime.. I'm pretty sure my vid card is causing the problem but I guess it could possibly be 2k, but before I go and make an 98 parition and then install just to play a game I wanna know if anyone can play in 2k.

I'm able to play it just fine, except I get one nasty error everytime I die. See my thread in this forum. I am using Win2k w/SP2.

Absolutely no problems here with W2k and RTCW.

nod, thanks, I'm actually glad to hear that, I've decided it's definitely my vid card interacting with my board that's causing the problems.

Mine works like a charm with Windows 2k. Which Nvidia drivers are you using? 23.11 seems to clear some issues. I am running it on a 933mhz machine, with a gforce 2ultra still on an old BX chipset, no problems yet. What chipset drivers are you using, if you are using the VIA drivers, you may check and see if there are some newer drivers. That is my suggestion.

Did you modify the com_hunkmegs (memory) setting in the console and caused it to lock up? I had done so, I hit the limit at 390 out of 512mb of memory just for **** and giggles, it locked up.
