RS6 wing and s6 door blades are on

halik

Had to drill the trunk lid to install the wing... so scurrd. Came out perfect in the end, chiefly because I used a bit that's about 20% wider than the bolts on the wing. That gave me some wiggle room for adjustment.

shouldn't have to drill for a lip spoiler, odd

They basically give you double-stick tape for the adhesive ones. Better for the feint of heart, but if the tape / rub from the lip spoiler has a chance of screwing up the paint anyway, why not just go all out and make some holes? 😉

I'm thinking of getting a lip spoiler for my '08 Fusion - primarily because I can't stand the third brake light in the rear window. Everyone now and then when I look in my rear view mirror quickly I think it's a clown car or large bike following me way too close.

This was oem rs6 wing, drilling the trunk is the oem installation. I could've gotten $30 stick on spoilers on ebay, but they end up looking like poop.

Did they do any blending at all when they painted that bumper.

Doesn't look like it; as soon as someone backs into me, I'll get it reshot and actually have them measure the paint on both sides to blend it.

Any noticeable change in mpg?

Is this just for aesthetics?

Haven't driven enough to be able to tell; I've cleaned up the MAF and replacing the fuel filter.... so I won't be able to tell in any case.

HOLY FUCK FAIL.

Get your car to a fucking baseline first then add on to it.

Personally, why mod the body a A6 2.7T to begin with?

Well, it's his. He can mod whatever he wants.

 2.7t? I love the door blades. Now get some k04s 😉

here is a (crappy) pic of my friends a6 2.7t after we changed his halfshaft.

I think he's talking about a baseline dyno or just general stats (for MPG and such). That way you have a starting point to see how upgrades are affecting the car.

Alkemyst pretty much flames people for not modding their car and if you do mod it, he flames you. You just have to ignore it like background noise.

What I don't get is why anyone would do a baseline or even care about MPG/perf results from a lip spoiler. It won't do jack shit. Seriously folks?

Indeed. At best it's going to give high speed lift control, but never an MPG difference. We know it's for looks and IMHO it looks good.
