Ok, folks, please remember that nearly half the Christians in this country voted against Bush. There are PLENTY of churches here in Memphis, and a lot of them are filled with Democrats.

There are more churches in Memphis, TN, than there are gas stations. Seriously. And Kerry won our County.

What are you talking about??? 😕

Every Christian I've run into here in Louisiana and Florida all voted for Bush.

Well, get an election map, find Shelby County (where Memphis is) and see who won that county. Kerry. And there are more churches here than gas stations, seriously.

That's no surprise, there are a few pockets of City folk spread around in Jesusland that aren't brainwashed. But don't worry the RRR FLL will get to them too.

And by the way, if you keep using terms such as "RRR FLL," those Kerry-supporting Christians may end up voting for Republicans after years of abuse by their own party members.

Stop mocking Christians, they are one of the only friends your party still has. Or keep it up, and "RRR FLL's" will continue beating the crap out of the LWACB (left wing atheist commy bastards 🙂) in all the elections.

Oh come on please. I have not met one Kerry-supporting Christian yet especially down here in the South.

Wow, well come on down to Memphis. We'll go to a nice Southern Baptist church. You can hear the gospel of Luke, played to the beat by a popular snoop dogg tune. Then after the sermon (given by a crack-smokng rev), you can get advice on how to sue your employer, or get unemployment after you QUIT your job. Then we'll go out to the parking lot and you can see all the Kerry bumper stickers on the backs of pimped-out Caddy's.

Ah, exactly my point. The old South Southern Baptist Churches are a dying breed, many of them have sold out and replaced by Christian congregations.

Well, it proves we don't need "churches for Liberals," in regards to the guy I was originally posting to.

As I said before, that was just an assinine statement on his part.

I whole-heartedly agree. But I see his remark as a reflection of, and maybe a result of, the stereotype that resides here, the anti-bush crowd has almost become an anti-Christian one.

I would guess that you would find a higher percentage of atheists in a liberal crowd the in a conservative crowd. I don't think that means Dem's are anti-christian, but at the same time I don't think they are as religious or perhaps I should say willing to accept the right's view of the way religion should be.

I for one have seen too many religious people who go to church every Sunday, but will screw you out of everthing they can on Monday. Then they justify it in their minds that God is on "their" side. Hypocrites!!

Ah, yes. We have a term for those kinds of people that I'll share with you. "Sunday-Christians," as they only act like Christians on Sunday. Some people only go to church as show, they network there.

Edit: Almost forgot, if you would like to see a gallery of these "Sunday Christians," just go to www.whitehouse.gov, and look through our recent presidents, Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr, and you can throw Kerry in there as well. Not sure about Gore.

They almost always sit in the front pew and sing the loudest so everyone can see them and know they're there. To me, actions speak louder then words. I decide what the christian way is for me, rather then blindly following a specific religion. I will be the one who answers to St. Peter actions, no one else.

About your above edit, I couldn't agree more.

Guess you don't talk to a statistically valid sample 🙂

Pick state, LA. Matches pretty much the national results.

Actually it was roughly 50/50 for catholics, 60/40 for protestants.

Thanks alchy.

Jesus H Christ, neither one of those is the Southern "Christian" Block.

Oh really? I would think Baptist would fall under protestant.

There are other categories. We have "Other" as 6%, and "None" as 5%. SO which one do you think they fall into? Or perhaps the RRR FLL brainwashing is complete in the CNN exit polls huh?

I'd like to see the mormons stat. I don't think there is a single Democrat practicing mormanism. Utah, almost all mormon, got the highest percetage for Bush. Idaho, incedently 2nd biggest mormon collection percapita, was 2nd for bush in highest percentage....
