Oooh! FF Fanatics
Personally I don't want to see any of them remade. That is how I am - You played it be thankful for it. When a remake occurs someone always trys to point out problems or they complain over something...
Now FF7-2 (however they would do that considering at the end you see the "500 years later" with REDXIII) would be interesting though I am more interested in Chrono Break and more Final Fantasies (along with the SaGa series)
Fenix: FF7 Did have a good story. There were some missing plots that might be considered essential (why Sephiroth was admired by all...what did he fight in/do beyond what we learned of Cloud as a child...also some things muddle the story a tad) depending how you see it but overall I thought the game was VERY well done (much better than FF9. Then again I'm one who thinks that FF8 had a great story and was actually a good game if you could understand that god-awful junction system...I would put it on auto and I would "Set it and Forget it!" As for FF2/FF3 I would argue otherwise. I loved both but obviously the translations were botched up (thank god the FF Chronicles and Anthology), especially Final Fantasy 3/6
To me the best RPG out there is Xenogears....I haven't seen an RPG delve that much into philosophy and questioning I loved it. That and for some reason I loved battling for nearly two straight hours followed by twenty straight minutes of in game cutscenes and text
As for Chrono Trigger I would prefer to see Chrono Break. I was amazed by Chrono Cross (talk about replay value! And oh my all the characters each with unique moves!) and thought it was worth every cent...I can only imagine what Chrono Break would be
