RPG recommendations

It may require some DOS arcanery (or just DOSbox), but the Realms of Arkania trilogy was quite a bit of fun. Yes, the graphics will be dated, and there are some tedious qualities to the gameplay (some of the random events are bad), but I thoroughly loved the series and the only way to fully enjoy it with all its quirks is to start from the beginning.

You might try Arcanum. The combat system sucked, but the dialogue was rich and choices that affected the outcome of the game.
 
Another vote for Planescape. It's made by Interplay, the same folks that did BG series, but it's a different type of game and very compeling.

only RPG's i've ever liked were Deus Ex and KOTOR 1 & 2. I just wish they didn't cut so much from KOTOR 2, or it could've been one of the best games ever.
