RPG for kids

Paper Mario for Gamecube is a pretty fun and colorful RPG. Its ESRB rating is E for Everyone. Any of the Mario RPGs should be good for kids.

Not really RPGs, but maybe you can look into adventure games like Sam and Max, Grim Fandango, or that newer Jules Verne game.

Yeah, you'll probably have to try the adventure genre for anything even remotely RPG-like for kids.

Sam & Max is a little too adult for a six year old =)

Ha. I honestly don't remember much from it. 😱 I played it at my friend's house when I was in 4th or 5th grade.

A friend of his had one which had the normal RPG Paperdoll screen. It could have been an adventure game. Of course the only word he remembers is "Rune".

Sigh.

The wizardry series but I dunno how much they'll pick up on it. I played it alot when I was 5-8 but all I did was lose my entire party to the first group of bad guys.

Hello....Oblivion hasn't even been mentioned here......if you get a kid started on it...you'll have a gamer for life. GET IT DONE. I WISH....I mean WISH that they had stuff like Oblivion when I was a kid.....wait...no I don't...my parents would have ended up taking my computer away from me......then I would have had to go behind their backs..... then I would have became all sneakretive and stuff.....ok forget it. Bad Idea.

Final Fantasy 1, 2, 3. Get em while they are young! Show em our classics, and then make them realize RPGs these days sux. T.T

Throw in Chrono Trigger too. EMULATE THEM!
