My first post was a repost so I?ll try to do better this time.

About a week ago I went to Walmart to buy around 100 decks of cards for an upcoming tournament and the bricks rang up $1.97 for the Bicycles and $1.47 for the Aviators. Also, while standing in line and just to make sure, I asked the manager if this was the right price. She scanned it really quick and told me something like: If the computer rings it up at that price, then that?s the price. And just today I was at another Walmart and while walking through I saw that both bricks were marked the same price. Hope this qualifies as a hot deal.

BTW, I call them bricks, some people call them books, either way I?m talking about a wrapped 12 pack of cards.

I looked for these tonight at my local Wal-Mart, but only found the individually wrapped decks for that price, no bricks to be found. Do you have the SKU for the bricks?

Oooooooh, interesting, too bad my nearest Wal-Marts well out of my way........I'd love to get a brick of cards for that cheap.

Maybe someone could, out of the kindness of their heart, buy me a brick and ship it to me, I'll pay you accordingly?

Or, maybe I'll just swing by the Wal-Mart, guess we'll see ^_^

its because wal-mart's cases (of anything) has the same UPC on it as the individual items (or if its different, physically, its treated as the same by the register). I've known people to check out with lots of things by the caseload for the price of one. Sometimes they get rejected because the cashier knows the price is too good, but most of the time, they have no idea.

This is probably true. I was at my local Walmart today and noticed one pack was 1.97. I will try to hit a few other stores this week to see if they have them still in the boxes.

What part of the store were they in (toys, checkout lines, collectable cards)? I've checked 4 of them. None of them have the cases, but they did have packs in the toy department. Would you be willing to pick up some extras and shipping them to me for a small profit sicksock? I could use up to 10 or so bricks. It wouldn't be worth shipping costs for just a brick or two. PM me if interested.

I just stopped by the Wal-mart and picked up a 12pk of bicycle cards for $1.97+ tax. I found the brick in a playing card aisle end cap in the toy section. I think it is likely they are being sold in another part of the store, because the selection I saw was meager-- only card full 52 card decks, poker chips, nothing special like pinochle or bridge decks. There was only one brick at my location, no Aviator bricks either. Good luck

Thanks for the hot deal, sicksock.

I tried to get a brick, but the cashier told me it was the freight box and not for individule sale. So YMMV. Good deal if you can get it though! I found them on the top shelf above the single packs. It was near the board games and card games like Uno.

That's what I'm seeing. There aren't many packs on display. I can't find any of the boxes.

There really SHOULD NOT be any boxes of cards on the risers (top shelves) and most cashiers are smart enough not to sell a box to you.
