Is the Gov. not supposed to represent the people of the state? And if the MAJORITY of the people of the state agree with him, vote for him and elect him into office, isn't that the way it is supposed to work?

If there was a law proposed to give everyone a year of no taxes, but also that you (and just you, Homerboy) had to be beaten to death with your own arm and everyone voted for it, would you be as complacent with a "majority-rule" system?

There was a hint of sarcasm in that post. But regardless, I was primarily referring to the posts dealing with whether believing in the 10 commandments is wrong or not.

Kind of hard to do that when your president is a flake. Maybe we should have 2 presidents?

Just split the country down the middle. West where all the normal people live and the religious preaks can make even a bigger bible belt down the east south side...

I can't speak for other liberals, but I have no problem whatever with people who believe in the 10 Commandments. Or who don't believe. Or who believe or don't believe in any other set of "rules".

What I DO have a problem with is self-righteous egomaniacs who decide that just because THEY have a strong belief, it's their duty and right to force it down the throats of others. Roy Moore is one such egomaniac.
 
what the religious right fails to understand is that the left is NOT against any religion whatsoever. what most of us want is SEPARATION of church and state. why is it so hard for christians to just keep their beliefs in their homes/churches like Muslims/Jews/etc. instead of parading around trying to display their beliefs on public property. that is what we oppose, NOT your religion. unfortunately you will never make that connection because your leaders want you to believe the left is against religion...

Christians who go out of their everyday life to find the problems and become a victim like the defencive Christian above are not the one's who follow the faith correctly as ou indicated. The Christians who turn the other cheek and keep living out their lives are the one's that are thinking rationally along side you 😉
