Roy Clark dead at 85. Or.... maybe not?

Seems a hoax is spreading that country music icon Roy Clark has died.
Some news outlets are reporting this, others claiming it is all a hoax.
My dad was a country music performer, retired, 89 years young, and he believed the news then he wasn't sure.
Dad preformed several times with Roy Clark, and on the Jimmy Dean show many many .... many long years ago.
As a widdle kid I remember some of these country music celebrities visiting our home when performing in town.
Naturally, I called all my little friends to come over, my dad would be pissed, and I was in big trouble.
Except for the one time when my friends were outside peeking in the window at Jimmy Dean. My dad told me to tell then to go home.
But Jimmy Dean thought it was cute, and asked me to let them in. They were thrilled. Sure saved my ass that time.... 😉

So anyway, is he or isn't he, dead that is?
You'd think old Roy Clark would be the best one to know if he's dead or not.... 😉
If he has in fact passed on, then a hoax about his death being a hoax has to be the hoax of the year.

Now, we're not ones to go round spreadin' rumors
Why really, we're just not the gossipy kind!
Oh, you'll never hear one of us repeating gossip!
So you'd better be sure and listen close the first time.

First time I ever wanted to pick up the guitar was after seeing Roy play Malaguania on the Tonight show with Johnny Carson. Many many versions of Roy playing it out there.
