Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 freezing up in WinXP

Hi,

I have a Samsung 32x10x40 CD-RW and running WinXP. Everytime I try to burn something w/ Roxio EZ CD 5.0, it freezes half the time when i click "record now" button. I am using Imation 16x CD-R's...do you think it is because the CD-R's aren't rated higher than 16x? Sometimes everything will burn smoothly and w/ no problems, but again, its like 50/50.

I tried lowering the speed to 16x, but it still froze. Anyone got any suggestions?

suggest you go to the roxio site & d/load any update patches for your ezcd creator!

Like Bacillus says - if you don't have the latest and greatest patches from Roxio, you will have nothing but problems. Your ECDC % "About" should read at least 5.1 (79)

I saw these at CompUSA today. They had a sticker that said EZCD won't work under Win95 with that drive. Sounds kind of dumb to include software that won't work,but maybe an upgrade will fix it.

Um. I'm using Win XP, not 95.

maybe a misstype by him. anyway, you HAVE to get the updates after 5.0 for XP because Roxio said so!
