roxio cd creator 5.0

Im using roxio cd creator 5.0 and Ive got that new yamaha lightspeed that burns at 16X and everytime after I'm done burning, the yamaha drive pops open and then closes again then my computer freezes... anybody have suggestions for possible causes of this??
 
that popping open and closing did that for me in the version 5.0 however that version is a POS..

I uninstalled it after it caused a lot of problems with burning data cdr's.. on top with w2k its absolutly a disaster..

suggest going back to 4.0 if you can.. 5.0 is not worth it..even with all the patches installed its not worth it.

 
you know.. ive been thinking the same thing... 5.0 is a POS... why do damn companies do that bull$hit... i mean... it looks better... but it just aint as good... why? oh well.. back to 4.02 then i guess... even 5.0 platinum sucks $hit.. i dunno why... but I appreciate the suggestion.. thanks
 
i got it because it was free (from work - they got it with a burner and I took it home with me cause we dont need 5.0 with W2K).. and when I installed it at home I noticed that it was a POS..

i struggled with it for over 3 weeks and then finally said goodbye. I still have the disc but I am going to chuck it someday into the fire in teh fireplace.
