Routing Question...

Is this possible...

I have to route a DSL connection from the modem to a switch on a Novell network, have it go 100 ft through cable to another switch out to a hub on an TCP/IP network, and then connect to the client.

Half the ppl say it'll work, the other half say it wont. I'm hoping this will work because if it doesn't I'll have to put in alot of work laying cable through a building. Any input would be helpful...

It depends. First, the modem has to be ethernet. Does the client have to run a program or something special? I'm not sure about it going through 3 hubs/switches, though, but it does work with 1.

Yeah, it's all ethernet, so that's no biggie. My major question is routing the line through 2 different LANs, especially since one's ipx/spx.

should work fine...max number of hubs in a row I think is 4 and if a switch is involved, it's certainly not an issue since it's a repeater and restarts the count.
