Router

I've used Netgear, Linksys and D-Link. Linksys was problematic and evetually ended up in the trash, Netgear was okay although I was not using WiFi at thee time, but for the past 2 years my cheepie D-Link 614+ has been perfect. I also use VPN with zero issues. YMMV 😉

For a user on a budget... belkin, they have good sales almost every week.

For an enthusiest... Buffalo. They have the best bang for buck, are powerful, and easy to set up.

What is your budget?

I've got a D-Link 524. The first one worked for about a month then died. The RMA process was a joke. I spent over an hour on the phone with the tech only to tell me what I already new, the the device was dead. I finally got an RMA #, and they shipped me a new one. Because of the bad CS I wouldn't recommend D-Link. Got with a Linksys.
