I have a Linksys 1 port DSL router and a Linksys 10BT 5 port hub with uplink. I tried to share my connection but it would not work. Im a networking dummy any helpful hints.....
 
hook the modem cable to the router where it says so
then hook the cable from the other port where it says so to the uplink port of your 10base t hub 🙂

Ive done that and have only gotten to share the connection once out of the dozen times I have tried. After the one time it worked, I shut both computers off and when I rebooted neither would access the web.
 
Start, Run, Winipcfg, Release All, Renew All. Be sure you have DHCP enabled on the router and in TCP/IP.
