can i use TRENDware/TRENDnet 11Mbps Wireless PCI Ethernet Adapter, Model TEW-228PI with Netgear MR814 802.11b Wireless 4-Port Cable/DSL Router?

i know this sounds stupid, but i'm kinda new to networking and they didn't give me a pci card when i bought the router

Generally, this stuff tends to get along pretty well. Can't say I've heard of "TRENDware/TRENDnet", though.
