Router Problems.. ahh!

First of all, hey! I was recommended here by a friend who says you all can help, so thanks in advance! 🙂

Heres my problem, I just bought a Belkin N wireless router, and am trying to get it to work with my desktop. Right now its working and I am using the internet on it, but theres problems.

The internet is cutting out pretty consistently, and sometimes slowing down. Along with this, its very hard for me to download anything, it freezes/stops half way through. I don't have this problem when not using the router.

I talked to their tech support, and they recommended I DL drtcip and change settings, which I did, but that didn't help at all. Does anyone have anything I can try? Thanks!

Try changing the wireless channel number and protection mode set to off,FYI I'm using a Belkin N1 wireless router which is working fine.

the wireless channel number option only let me select 1-16, so I just turned it off, and it was already off of protection mode. Still having the same problems 🙁

turned the channel off? how do you do that.. there are auto settings sometimes but not an off setting unless you are turning the wireless off
