I hope that doesn't work for any router. That would be an extremely insecure system. I personally would consider my RT314 broken if it allowed that and return it. Not really, unless you wanted to get a model with a firewall and/or wireless. I replaced a couple of POS Linksys routers before I got my Netgear RT314, which has been working great for over 2 yrs.
