Hi guys.
Apologies, I'm one of those guys who knows enough about computers to be barely dangerous, and just enough about networking to get a wireless setup running if and only if there are no weird problems.
I was browsing around my router today and saw a button to check the log. I did so and it was full of entries like:

Monday, July 28, 2003 9:09:16 AM Unrecognized access from 67.35.12.219:1394 to TCP port 445
Monday, July 28, 2003 9:10:05 AM Unrecognized access from 81.42.246.86:1028 to UDP port 137
Monday, July 28, 2003 9:14:25 AM Unrecognized access from 200.173.188.222:1027 to UDP port 137

I have a D-Link DI-713P, both wired and wireless access. I can't figure out how to disable SSID broadcast (and the D-Link site didn't have much for me), but I think I've got the IP addesses tied to the MAC Adresses of the various wireless stuff, and have things locked down that way....at least, that's what it looked like from the screens I was in.

Anyway, is this something to worry about? Does it mean people/services are trying to get in, but are being blocked by the firewall, or is my neighbor stealing my bandwidth?

I appreciate the help.

my logs have been full of 445 and 137 rejected connections for months (and that's before we went wireless). nothing to worry about, just idiots trying to screw up the internet (forward these ports to your computer and enable the windows messaging service and you'll see what these do -- ads that show up as message boxes).

Urgh. How irritating.
Since I'm not getting any message pop-ups, and I don't think I've disabled Windows Messenger, can I assume that my firewall is doing it's job?

Thanks.
