Hi guys.
Apologies, I'm one of those guys who knows enough about computers to be barely dangerous, and just enough about networking to get a wireless setup running if and only if there are no weird problems.
I was browsing around my router today and saw a button to check the log. I did so and it was full of entries like:
Monday, July 28, 2003 9:09:16 AM Unrecognized access from 67.35.12.219:1394 to TCP port 445
Monday, July 28, 2003 9:10:05 AM Unrecognized access from 81.42.246.86:1028 to UDP port 137
Monday, July 28, 2003 9:14:25 AM Unrecognized access from 200.173.188.222:1027 to UDP port 137
I have a D-Link DI-713P, both wired and wireless access. I can't figure out how to disable SSID broadcast (and the D-Link site didn't have much for me), but I think I've got the IP addesses tied to the MAC Adresses of the various wireless stuff, and have things locked down that way....at least, that's what it looked like from the screens I was in.
Anyway, is this something to worry about? Does it mean people/services are trying to get in, but are being blocked by the firewall, or is my neighbor stealing my bandwidth?
I appreciate the help.
