I have a LINKSYS router and it seems to be keeping me from using AIM Video Chat so I was wondering what ports I would need to open to let my girl on her MAC notebook view my webcam.. It seems like ONLY triton works SOMETIMES but regular AIM never works. I get a firewall error message. When I unhook my router I have no internet on my PC, for some reason it wont let me directly connect again.
 
You shouldn't need to forward any ports to your computer to view webcam. Make sure both your daughter and you have the latest AIM program. Also make sure they you're not filtering outbound connections (highly doubt you have this enabled since most consumer routers are set to allow all outbound connections by default).

I've never found the webcam feature on AIM to be very popular. If AIM still doesn't work, try the more popular MSN or Yahoo Messengers.
