Router Issue

So about 2 months ago I bought a brand new ASUS RT-N66U - and just last week I noticed that it might not be working right. Here is the problem - I am on a 30mb up/down fiber connection. Recently my fiber company just upgraded everyone's speed for free. So now I am getting 94mb up/down - which is crazy and I don't know how long that will last. I don't know if that has anything to do with my problem or not, but when I reset the router I get that speed on speedtest. After a day or so, with the computer in my sig wired to it and all of my wireless devices being used (smartphone, ps3, ps4, xbone,) suddenly I get only 9mb up/down. A day later it was down to 3mb up/down. If I reset the router, I am back up to 94mb. If I bypass the router and just plug the cat6 straight into my computer I get 94mb. Plug it back in the router and it's 94mb.

I bypassed the router for a day to see if it was my fiber company, but the next day it's still at 94mb. Is there a setting or something that is causing my router to reduce speed? How can I solve this? Thanks for any help.

Are you still using the Asus firmware? From my experience with an RT12N-D1, it really sucks.

I would recommend upgrading to Merlin or Tomato.
