Have a netgear N300, I got up one morning it wouldn't make a connection. Turned off and back on it worked. Next morning same thing, but it wouldn't connect. Plugged the computer into the cable modem and it worked. Left the router off for 24 hours, upgraded the firm ware worked fine yesterday. Get up this morning, router won't connect. Hardware problem I would think, right?

The what to replace it with. I what something with gigabit ports because the wires I have run are cat 6. I might need to find a switch because of the lack of ports as well.

It may be dying, but have you tried DD-WRT?

Is it a WNR2000? Which hardware rev (printed on the back) - v1, v2, v3?

Good Wireless Routers that can be flashed with DD-WRT and be configured as main Wireless Router, or Access Point/Repeater, if needed.

While other vendors get few of these from the same source (Cisco Refurb store) and sell it for few $$ less, they are often Sold out,

As NICX is Now (NCIX Sore at the date and time of this post).

Sorry, we've SOLD OUT of this item at the Surprise Sale price. Please watch for more Surprise Sales in the future.

No, the surprise sale price was much lower. It's still easily in stock at $68.

Thanks for the links. Probably look at the refurb e4200. I like the idea of open source stuff.
