Router boot/power save question

When PC boot up, it will take router about 3-5min to let the internet traffic through. Thats no problem. But when the Pc is up for lets say an hour, with no explorer or outlook pages up, the router goes through the same boot process. Is this some power save mode and how to change it? I dont see any options in the setup menu.
