Rounding IDE cables.

Hey everyone. I have a question about rounding IDE cables. Once I slice up my IDE cables and tape them up all nice and neat, how do I fit it inside the split look tubing? The head (part that connects to the IDE device and motherboard) is wider than the split loom tubing. So how do I fit it in? Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

if you had to (ie: shrink wrap) you could move the head/end so it is parallel with the ide cable, then it will fit.

either that or you can cut a slit all the way down the tubing, from one end to the other. Then just open it up and stuff the IDE cable inside.

Stevey;
Have you purchased the split loom tubing? Have you taken it out of the package? Look at it and squeeze it.

SPLIT loom tubing is SPLIT down the entire length!!! The split is there so that it can be installed on assembled cable assemblies.

Hold one end of the SPLIT open with (for example) a writing pen to hold the SPLIT open, slide the SPLIT over the bundled cable, hold the tubing over the bundled cable and slide the pen down the SPLIT loom tubing while allowing the bundled cable to drop into the tubing.

It is a lot easier to actually do it, than to describe how to do it.
