Rounded USB Cables for Case Interior

Okay, so I am getting ready to start my first mod, so you may be seeing alot from me in the coming weeks. I really appreciate the informative and patient responses I get here at Anandtech. Thank you everyone. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, my question . . .

Okay, when I built my system, I went with one of the best boards, the Soyo Dragon Plus. It came with that nifty little front USB bay. Bummer is, I have to run the beautiful flat gray USB cables back to the MB (they look kinda like baby IDE ribbons) adding to the clutter of my case. I am sure I could mod these myself, but I noticed that Soyo is shipping pre-rounded cables with the new Dragon Ultra (the KT333 model) and I was wondering if anybody has seen these for sale anywhere. It makes alot of sense, so I would be amazed if no one has thought to sell these yet. Otherwise it looks like I am going to need to wip out the raxor blade and wire loom. Again, thanks for the help.

Sorry not to give the answer you wanted, but I have the same board and delima. I chose to tuck the wires under the MB so they can't be seen except just below the MB where the wires come out. The wires coming out of the top are hidden by HD's.

the epox 8kha+ came with rounded internal usb cables, but i'm really just responding to your post because your name came across to me as "PCP Phreak," and not "PC Phreak." if you are, that's ok, but you might want to consider a respelling 😉

Given the small number of pins that it actually requires, I'm not sure how "cluttered" USB cables could make the case. Rounding them isn't going to create much less space taken up (and to me they wouldn't really look too bad anyway, assuming they're on the bottom of the case).

However Belkin makes some that you could probably unmount from the backplate and put into the case. Assuming you only need to go six inches of course. It may be hard to find replacements designed to go to the front of a larger case.

Expensive from Belkin...

...but cheap here.

Or cheaper here.

You might also want to read this regarding the actual connectors, though it irks me that there isn't a standard pin layout.

These have 10 inch cables.
