rounded corner means higher idle temps :(

i removed my sk6 so that i could take it to someone's house without worrying about the heatsink popping off, and when i put it back on i got distracted and i rounded off a corner on the core. it still overclocks fine, but my temps are 7 degrees higher at idle than they were! the strange thing is that my load temps are the same as they were before. basically, there is now not more than a 3 degree difference between my idle and load temps (47*c and 50*c, respectively). i've never seen such a small difference between idle and load. well, i guess as long as it is stable it doesn't matter. still kind of disconcerting, though.

I cracked the corner off my 633MHz Celeron while installing the HSF. Most of the corner are cracked, but I saw no differences in the temps or in the max overclock (1GHz+). After a while the computer locks up for no reason and it gets worse when it's overclocked... Lesson learned and the Tualatin is on its way...
