I've heard the main advantage to buying rounded cables is better ventilation inside the case; thus, better cooling. Is there any specific article someone could point to that actually did a benchmark or provides just a bit of proof? Also, does anybody know if the rounded cables at newegg.com are any good? Any place better...?

I have seen a couple of reviews around (can't remember where at the moment) showing that you may get the case temp down a couple of degrees using them, but nothing major. IMO, machine rounded cables are great for looks if you have a clear case or a case window. They also keep things neater inside the case, but if you are not worried about them being seen, save some cash and just carefully fold/wrap your existing cables. I have some red machine rounded ones, but I have an acrylic case. :)

EDIT: Here is a good article on the subject. You could get similar results by folding/wrapping ribbion cables though.
