Hi I was wondering if you guys knew of a great place to get rounded IDE cables. The cheapest place i'd ever seen them were at Best Byte for $6 a peice for an 18" ATA-100 cable.

More importantly i was wondering if anyone knew of a place in the San Jose area that sold rounded IDE cables and other case modding supplies such as blue and white LEDs?
 
Definately be careful. I had some in my system and came to find that they were causing transfers to be corrupted.
 
I don't really want to make my own, especially if i could get them machine made and only for $6. but what i really want to know if there is a place in San Jose that sells stuff like this. It would be really sad if there wasn't on in San Jose or even the Bay Area.

Rounded cables are the stupidest thing anyone could do the the innards of their computer.

It's a FAD.

You take the risk of data corruption by using them.

YEa yea, flame away.. I know many of you here will say I'm full of it, and I don't know what the heck I'm talking about... so be it.
 
whats the difference besides price in the best byte cables and plycoms??? for $6 it might be worth it to me for $22 it isnt.

They are the best. I took Tony's (the owner) first rounded scsi cable prototypes hehe
 
Personally those $6 dollar models look like crapola...I know I would rather spend a little extra and get something nicer than that if I were going to bother, but then again that is just me.
