Umm...I don't know if I got lucky or not, but I just made a reservation for a round trip ticket on continental airlines for $159.25 from LAX to IAD (los angeles to wasington dc dulles airport) and the price is about the same for people going to san francisco. i tried looking for airfare/plane tickets and other headings in this forum and in case anyone wanted to travel for the holidays now is a good time to make a reservation. Go to travelocity or travel.yahoo.com.
Usually plane tickets from lax to iad round trip (even for employees going on standby) go for 200 (standby with free upgrade to first class)to 289 for a round trip...and those are considered reasonable.
anything under 200 is dirt cheap, but that's just me.
(san diego is a little more but barely over 200, still good deal)
