Round cables - where do you suggest getting them?

I'm going to pick up some round floppy and IDE cables. Is Newegg just as good as anyplace to pick them up, or do you suggest another site?

Thanks in advance 🙂

From the thread I had and a few others I looked at this is a good place to buy them. I, for one, have not yet. But the prices are good and everyone else seems to have recieved good service. Good luck.

I bought my silver braided cables from Plycon because they were the only ones with single-device IDE cables. I'm really happy with them.

I was about to order from svcompucyle.com before I found a thread that recommended Directron. Their prices are a little better and they ship pretty fast. Ordered them late Thursday nite, UPS says I'm gonna get them in today. I live in the same state though...

Go with svcompucycle.. I just bought a set and was happy with the low price and fast shipping via USPS priority mail

You should stay with 18" IDE cables and avoid 24" and 36" to avoid going beyond ATA100 spec

<< I just bought 24 inch cables. Would they perform any different than an 18 inch cable? >>

Theoretically yes, since we are in the 3rd dimension, things take time traveling from point to point (since it isnt instant), but the difference will be extremely miniscule that you won't be able to tell

24 inch cables are just longer..

most online vendors sell vantec rounded cables... there are other manufacturers but vantec is the most common and quality is good
