The thing is, even after he's been told 20+ times, he won't accept that the problem is not AMD's, its Microsoft's. He has been told that multiple times, but he still posts "has amd made a statement about their problem," makeing AMD look bad, which is his goal.Originally posted by: mdchesne
its always the same guys who rip on him in every post. If you guys are so sure he's faking his X2, why not prove it? I'm reading down all the posts he makes and markfw900 and acanthus and a few others are always just ragging on him about trolling. I mean, if he's asking legit question about AMD problems (CPU drivers, etc), and you guys are just posting to call hima troll, you guys are just as bad. prove that he doesn't have a x2 and not that he's just a newb who doesn't know a lick about computers. thats why we have anadtech forums, to help people like him, not ban him cause he's stupid

See the rest of the thread, the story is he continuously posts FUD knowing full well that it is incorrect information. We jump on it becuase we know hes doing it on purpose and has no intention of following up or fixing or even acknowledging fixes for the problems he says he has.

I understand how annoying behavior like that can be a downer, Acanthus. My wife is an expert. However, wouldn't it be best, for all concerned, to simply ignore him? After all, if bothersome, repetitive behavior ranks a ban, this would be a much skinnier place.

Seems to me that the problem is other people over reacting to everything he says. Perhaps he is miffed that his $500 cpu isn't perfect, I would be as well.
Again and again I see everyone who dares to suggest that AMD isn't the be all and end all of cpu's getting flamed. And within just a few days there is a post here asking for them to be banned. I agree AMD makes a better cpu (I own two of them), but that doesn't make intel the antichrist, and it' doesn't make people who use intel hardware stupid.
Give the fanboys a few days off instead, perhaps they could learn to say "I dissagree" instead of "you stupid moron".

let him express what he thinks, without the overly hostile response. It's up to you guys how you react to him, after all.

He's only trying to piss you guys off. I am sure that is his intention. They way you guys act is the way he wants you to act. IMO, he is doing a great job at what he is intending to do.

There's always a chance that people will be ill-informed, regardless of the venue or subject. I agree with Greenman in this, let him express what he thinks, without the overly hostile response. It's up to you guys how you react to him, after all.
