Ok i have had a shitty year.

A couple of years ago me and my wife got custody of her little sister (we pretty much raised her anyway). Well last week she was accepted into the National Honer Society and got straight A's (yet again). She is also getting a crap load of scholarships (woot less we have to pay) and we are going on a few trips to check out colleges.

its nice to get some good news and things come together.

now to find her a cheap laptop though she did put her car in a ditch this year and we helped pay for that. mm maybe she don't need another graduation gift hehe.

TLDR: just a brag thread about one of my "kids"

While fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life...fat, drunk and happy is a-ok.

Congrats! My youngest just graduated as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She'll probably get a job paying more than mine.

Isn't that a great feeling? Amazing how quickly I got used to letting the kids pay when we went out for dinner - grin.

well we did pretty much raise her and we do have custody of her. so we do think its part of our job.

though all said and done i doubt we have to pay much. its rather amazing the amount of scholarships she has received and she has been a tad bit lazy on them.

she is a sweet girl. A tad bit to mature for her age though.

I hope she has lots of scholarships! Northwestern tuition runs are $40k (three quarters) and another $10k-$15k for room and board. Good luck!
