I bet there was great stopping power when the edge of the pad caught one of the venting vanes...

I thinking the pad got ripped out and the caliper piston was in contact with that thing, yikes!

girl i dated years ago let her brakes grind metal on metal for months with me telling her to get them changed. finally she got money from her parents to get the parts since i agreed to install for her, so i dropped her off at work. on the way to go do the brakes both hubs snapped off the rotors, making the back brakes the only thing stopping the car. the back brakes were about as bad, and it took me forever to stop that sucker. almost hit two cars and finally screeched to a halt in the middle of an intersection. rotors looked just like that, but they were busted off the hubs.
