Rotating tires

My Colorado Xtreme has P235/50R18 Goodyear RSA tires on it from the factory. I was told not to do the standard crisscross rotation because of the tires on it. Is that correct? How should I rotate them.

Look for arrows and "Direction of Rotation" or a similar phrasing on the sidewall. If your tires have these markings, then you should only rotate them front to back on the same side, not crisscross.

is it a staggered set up? if not, i don't see why cross directional should be a problem?

You have to flip the wheel to get it to go on the other side.

Meaning the tread would be reversed 180*

I don't think anyone does crisscross rotations now due to the way tires are manufactured. All the times my dad and I did it, it was just front and back.

It has nothing to do with manufacturing techniques. Tires can rotate either way without any problem at all from a construction standpoint.

The reason that you don't reverse them has to do with tread pattern. When you reverse a directional tread pattern the tire cannot shed water as well as it otherwise would which reduces wet traction and can also increase noise. But it will not have any adverse effects on wear or the physical integrity of the tires.

Yeah, I don't think they look directional. I will look in the user manual and see if it mentions my tires or if it just mentions what the lower versions of the Colorado have.
