choosing to be "disgusted" because someone doesn't meet your idealized standards of physical beauty is the height of immaturity.

Yeah, but Rosie O'Donnell is still a pig.
You're no Daisy yourself Bitch.
oh look... a member of the Rosie Sympathizer Club.

Oh come on. Hating Rosie because she's fat and ugly is stupid. There are LOTS of admired fat and ugly actor/actresses.

Hating her because she's an untalented, annoying, gun grabbing, fascist psycho bitch is MUCH more reasonable.

This time though it's an 'all of the above'.

Naw, I've never disliked someone because of their inherent physical appearance. No point in hating someone for something they can't help.

i actually don't hate anyone. ;)

i sympathize with someone who can't help their unfortunate physical appearance, but as far as Rosie... she could lose weight and get a makeover and be not 1/2 bad. i think she could help her appearance.

OK, now we really disagree. :p

plastic surgery would help.

A full lobotomy would do even more...
can't have that done twice.

You can sure as hell try.

Better yet, I feel euthanasia would do wonders for her.

Rosie's apoloy was issued today. Basically, she told the chinese to fvck themself. "Ching Chong this chinaman!"

"I'm sorry for people who were hurt," O'Donnell said.

On Dec. 5, O'Donnell imitated how she thought Chinese broadcasters might sound discussing actor Danny DeVito's drunken appearance on "The View."

"You know, you can imagine in China it's like, 'ching chong, ching chong chong, Danny DeVito, ching chong chong chong, drunk, "The View," ching chong.' "

On Thursday, O'Donnell expressed surprise when she learned that some Asian Americans considered speaking in that kind of sing-song accent an insult as grave as calling a black person by the N-word. She sympathized with people who were teased for their language on the playground while they were growing up.

She tells one detractor to go "f- urself."

However, she warned that she was a comedian, and she did accents of all kinds -- including the "Japanese Yiddish" accent of Dec. 5.

"There's a good chance I'll do it again next week," she said. "That's how my brain works."

Even if the 'imitation Chinese' was not offensive, she was being a hypocrite seeing as how little leeway she allows other people in their behavior.

e.g. Kelly Ripa's remark to Clay Aiken

as gross as she is in every way imaginable.... she is just trying to get attention.

why is she "gross"?

becuase she's a lesbo

If she looked like Portia di Rossi, that'd be different

think of her as you would an aunt or older sister. it hardly matters what her physical appearance is.

So you're saying looks don't matter?

you're not going to be sleeping with her, so why should you care about her appearance?

Is that all you care about? Whether or not you're going to sleep with someone? It's not all about sex, you know. If I like the way a car looks, that doesn't mean I'm going to have sex with it it. Well, not entirely. One can admire beauty without wanting to have sex, and one can also be disgusted by appearance.

yes, that is all I care about.

that is why I resent having to watch ugly men on television - like Tim Russert, Al Roker, Dave Letterman, etc.

her statement was offensive. just boycott the show. there is no use in explaining what is consider insulting to a nonsympathetic crowd.
