Rosetta vs. Parallels in performance

So I'm sure some (if not most) of you know what MATLAB is. I have a copy of student version MATLAB R2006b I bought last year and while MATLAB has Mac support I'm not sure if I should run it natively in MacOS or have it installed through my Windows 2000 virtual machine. This version of MATLAB does not support Intel Macs so I assume it'll run under Rosetta?

What would you do?

They still don't have the Intel patch out? Jeez!

I think no matter which way you slice it, it will be quite slow. I had Matlab installed on both OS X and Windows XP on my MacBook... and really, I liked it better in Windows since it ran a little better, and installed about 20 times easier. But, it was really slow in VM

R2007c has Intel suport, but not my R2006b.
