Rosetta Problem

I updated my nForce and display drivers then rebooted. Now Bonic will no longer connect. I reinstalled Boinc with same results. Can anyone help?

Sounds like an issue with the nforce drivers (borked your network controller)

try uninstalling your NIC from the device manager and let windows re-detect it. (by re-booting)

If that doesn't work, try UN-installing the nforce and video drivers before reinstalling new ones over the top of them.

Is BOINC the only app with this problem....? ( <---- important question here )

(afterthought: Is your motherboard/BIOS one of those with the firewall built in? If so, your nforce update probably reset ti to a configuration requiring attention to allow BOINC to use the connection)

I had a similar probem with the nforce drivers. As Sid said, delete the NIC by hand and let windows take care of it. At least that's what worked for me. You do use the onboard NIC, right? Or is that a separate network card?

Deleting the nic driver worked! Windows loaded the same driver, but this time it worked. Thanks for all the replies guys!
