No clarification was needed. I reported as NOT verified, my very words, something which was making the rounds in a big way. I then answered your question as to why that might be citing known facts.

You consider all sources then get snarky when they present them clearly for what they are. OK then.
Your "NOT verified" opinion translates to 'suspicion and speculation' in my world. Does this mean something different in yours?

I see....merely suspicion and speculation on your part. Thanks for clarifying.

Do not represent yourself in a court of law. These two statements are not equivalent in any universe where logic applies.

Now if you saw these two as equivalent, what drove your need to clarify something you already understood? You did not have to for any rational reason, but it was important to you to make this about me personally taking the position by an act of false attribution.

You can continue of course, but perhaps on another subject would be the wise thing.

But a man can dream.

His counter-argument hinges on the distinction between opinion and wishful thinking. I'll give him that...for what little it's worth.

He explicitly laid out his thinking from the very first post, that none of this was verified or that it reflects any reporting.

This confused you because you thought otherwise, and of course you blame him for confusing you.

None of this is normal.

Thinking? You call that thinking?

@Hayabusa Rider suggested that Pence may well be in on the whole Russia thing, or at least complicit. He also suggested that Nunes may be charged for interfering with Mueller's investigation and that Ryan is being served documents. But in his defense, he did indicate that it was "Not verified", although he then went on to say that "a man can dream" clearly indicating it was his hope. He then goes on the speculate that Nunes may possibly be involved in sabotaging the special prosecutor.

Bottomline, we find out that Pence is not being implicated, and that Rosenstein didn't go to Ryan to accuse Nunes of interfering with Mueller's investigation improperly, nor is he be accused of sabotaging the special prosecutor. Suspicion and speculation FTL.

But it gets better....later in the thread Hayabusa Rider says that Nunes can't be trusted because he went to the WH to tell Trump about the surveillance...however, both myself and fskimospy provided evidence that this was not true which he conveniently ignored. Then he goes on to say that Nunes recused himself from the Russia investigation because "Nunes did in fact tell the WH what was going on" which is complete and utter horseshit. Nunes recused himself due to an ethics investigation into allegations that he made unauthorized disclosures of classified information when he stated to the press that the identities of some Trump transition team members may have been improperly revealed in foreign surveillance reports. Classification experts in the intelligence community testified that no classified information was in fact disclosed. Nunes was cleared, ended his recusal and subsequently resumed his duties as Chairman of the Intelligence Committee's Russia investigation.

All Hayabusa Rider has is horseshit suspicion and wild speculation...all based on a shitload of lies and misinformation. And you call that thinking? Give me a fn break.

I don’t know, I think we could fling him pretty far if we loaded him in a trebuchet.
Of course I’m not sure he would be doing much talking afterwards.

Or a thousand foot push off a cliff/out of an aircraft, but I have to say that the trebuchet launch is much more intriguing from an engineering perspective and morbidly entertaining to boot. 😀

To be clear, what Nunes did was far worse than tell the White House about surveillance. (Had the WH not known that would not have been bad at all!)

As head of a congressional committee investigating White House involvement with a hostile foreign power he attempted to launder White House conspiracy theory talking points through his office in order to undermine the legitimacy of the agencies directly tasked with investigating White House involvement. This is an extraordinary breach of the ethical requirements of his office and at a minimum should spark an ethics inquiry.

Prosecuting Nunes would be difficult but we should not in any way minimize just how serious Nunes’ actions were.
