WTF!.. the comments about Jarrett, claiming Chelsea Clinton is married to George Soros's nephew, and claiming that Soros turned his fellow Jews in to the Nazis...lol.

I guess you could say she's been Barr'd..maybe Trump or Fox will hire her

It looks like Viacom, which owns the syndication rights, has pulled the original show from syndication.

Way to go Roseanne; you managed to screw everyone you worked with over the years out of their royalties from seasons 1-9

I mean, you can look at the lady and tell that she isn't Caucasian. Her skin is "white," but lots of "black" people have white(ish) skin. Her facial structure looks ~northern African to me.

This isn't new or anything.

He'll land on his feet. This cancellation isn't the end of his career by any stretch of the imagination. He is well liked in Hollywood and by the public I believe.
 
I'd like to personally thank Roseanne and Trump for exposing the dark side of America that lives and breaths fear and hatred of their fellow Americans and of those who fervently wish they were Americans. Not that both of these notorious luminaries wanted to effect positive change for the better, but that they have shone a light on themselves and their supporters for what they truly represent and present to the world.

Trump: "“I said, how big where they (ratings)? They were unbelievable. Over 18 million people. And it was about us.”

So, just who is "US" Mr. Trump? (rhetorical)

Yeah everyone likes Goodman and he'll probably find some good work, but he also just lost residuals because Viacom axed all Rosanne reruns. That is truly going to fuck up the cast.

That's my perception of him too, but it was my perception of a few of the folks who've been outed as, at the very least predatory assholes, at worst, fucking rapists.
So I have a very hard time getting to starry eyed over celebs anymore. To quote Courtney Barnett:
"Put me on a pedestal and I'll only disappoint you
Tell me I'm exceptional, I promise to exploit you"

It must be so conflicting for those folks hitching their wagons to Roseanne's and then having to rely on her racist aggravating behavior to keep their $$$ rolling in.

As an aside, I really do wish Trump makes a big stink about this and riles up his base while he's at it in order to bring attention to the nation and the world that racism is alive and well in America and that we all need to work hard at educating this problem right out of the fabric of our society.

I don't put celebrities on pedestals. Never have. They're just people and people are flawed. Some more so than others. No specified difference keeps them from that fact.

Couple drinks and impulse control goes out the window. A twitter account is a dangerous thing to have imo. We all do and say stupid shit. Problem with social media is those oop's get blasted to the rest of the world. As a result everything can disappear in the blink of an eye.

No we aren’t. Like I said a couple of drinks is all it takes and then that’s it, game over. Or you can post something as innocent as a prom dress (and nice arse) and suddenly you’re making headlines as the twitter mob comes after you. I don’t think we’ve gotten more savvy at all, if anything it’s just gotten worse.

Edit: I’m not saying that’s the case with Rosanne, but just our social media usage as a whole. I think it has collectively upped the anxiety of society as a whole, made us addicted to it and the feedback we get (what the "likes" do on here to be honest), created the opportunity for us to ruin our life’s in the blink of an eye, and Twitter with its low character cap has made us all ADD where we skip over anything longer than a few sentences so substance is bye and large lost and our thought process boils down to just the headlines. Social media is a plague on us and we aren’t digesting it well either.

Meh I don’t consider that a good thing. People do stupid stuff. Everyone. You. Me. Everyone in this thread. Everyone on this planet. With social media it just takes one stupid remark to end a person. That's not a new thing in and of itself, but it what is new is that we now carry around the ability to broadcast that stupid remark to the entire world in our pockets every minute of every day.

You don’t see who they really are from one tweet. One little blip of 144 characters doesn’t give you any sense of who that is as a person. But that one tweet is all it takes.

And I’d be cautious of thinking it’s the best friend of the black community. They aren’t immune from doing stupid stuff. If an employer wants to (and they definitely will) get a quick look of somebody before they hire where do they go? Their social media accounts. Google search. Boom there it is, all kinds of stupid stuff or n words or pics partying or whatever it may be. Skip.
