Recently bought a rope light from the pharmacy I work at, and I must say, this is a simply awesome invention! No light needed in my room, plus, the lighting affect is absolutely amazing!
I vouch for rope lights!
Anyone else have em'?

Are those the ones you see a strip joints, the ones that look like snakes. YOU know, the ones that usually outline the stage and stuff.....🙂
 
Interesting you should mention rope lighting.

My computer room is illuminated exclusively by a red rope light suspended around the ceiling. Its a carry-over from my astronomy days: red light provides functional vison with a minimum of loss of dark-adaptation for sustained, low light-level observations at a telescope's eyepiece.

Besides, it drives other people crazy. 😀

UG- I did not know that! Red is illuminating my room also. I feel like Kramer when the Kenney Roger's chicken place came to New York that one Seinfeld episode. 🙂
